Optical Tube Assembly

We deploy 20 units of the DeltaRho 500 manufactured by PlaneWave. Utilizing an ellipsoidal primary mirror of 508 mm and a spherical secondary mirror of 286 mm, the DeltaRho offers fast optics (f/3) with a very large field of view.

Mount

The L-500 mount, which is also manufactured by PlaneWave, handles the DeltraRho 500. Utilizing a direct-drive motor system, the L-500 mount offers fast slewing speed, stable pointing, and tracking accuracies. Camera Each DeltaRho 500 is equipped with a C3-61000 PRO camera. Manufactured by Moravian Instruments, a Czech company, the C3-61000 PRO employs SONY IMX455 sCMOS sensors that have a dimension of 9576 by 6488 with a pixel size of 3.76 by 3.76 microns. Attached to the DeltaRho 500, the C3-61000 PRO offers a field of view of 1.2 square degrees with pixel scales of 0.5 by 0.5 arcseconds.

Filter

7DT utilizes 40 medium-band filters of 25 FWHM along with Sloan broad- band filters. These medium-band filters cover from 400 nm through 900 nm with a 25 nm gap between their central wavelengths. At the moment, however, 20 out of 40 filters are available. These 20 filters still cover the wavelength range between 400 nm through 900 nm with a 50 nm gap between their central wavelengths.
